Bolaji Ogundare

Dr. Ogundare started his professional career in the Health Sciences in Nigeria and subsequently, in the United Kingdom and the United States. Following his advanced education and Board Certification in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and appointment as an Attending Physician/ Assistant Professor at New York University and related hospitals in New York City, he transitioned to the Energy Sector with Newcross, where he has risen to an executive management level in the energy sector.

He has supported the aspirations of Newcross, towards becoming an indigenous exploration and production company highly focused on reserve addition; and with assets ranging from exploration to producing assets and strategic investments in gas processing and crude oil transportation in Nigeria. Recently, he supported the organization’s expansion via NewX, a subsidiary, on its growth aspirations in the non-fossil fuel energy interests, and its drive to transition to a data- guided organization.

He is a co-founder and Partner in Carbon Limits Nigeria, which is the one of the most impactful sub-Saharan Africa companies focused on partnering with governments and global organizations focused on proffering solutions on climatic challenges.

With over twenty years’ experience in the health sciences and corporate environment, he is currently focused on sustainable energy production and distribution with climatic awareness.

Adegbite Ebiowei Adeniji

Gbite Adeniji is a specialist with over 30 years’ experience advising a diverse clientele in the oil, gas, electricity, mining and infrastructure sectors on landmark transactions and projects.

He is known for his involvement in several sector reform initiatives in Nigeria’s natural resources and infrastructure sectors and has drafted policies and legislation for the regulation of these sectors.

He was in a member of the Oil & Gas Policy team at the World Bank that advised the Government of Nigeria on the reform and restructuring of the petroleum sector including the development of the Strategic Gas Plan for Nigeria. He was also Counsel on the development of the Nigerian Gas Masterplan and was the Senior Technical Adviser to the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources between 2015 – 2018 during which he advised the Minister on petroleum policy, sector governance and regulation and the reform of the petroleum sector.

He is listed in leading legal directories as one of the World’s leading Oil and Gas lawyers and as one of the World’s leading mining lawyers.

Torleif Haugland

Torleif Haugland has more than 30 years of experience in energy and environmental analysis, both as staff of national and international governmental institutions, research positions and consultant. He has managed a large number of multi-disciplinary and complex projects on international energy and environment policies, climate change, energy sector liberalization, petroleum industry social responsibility, and development assistance. A main focus of his work over the past 15 years has been on climate change mitigation for the oil and gas industry, including activities related to transactions in emissions allowances and carbon credits, and recently carbon and climate finance schemes emerging under the Paris Agreement. Torleif Haugland is co-founder of Carbon Limits AS and Carbon Limits Nigeria Ltd and is a non-executive director of both companies.
